CURRICULUM
We focus on meeting each individual child’s development and educational needs. Children are guided and encouraged by our experienced teachers and advance through each program at their own pace.
Because children learn best when they are actively involved, classrooms include rich learning centers to explore. We prepare them for a new journey (KINDERGARTEN).
In developing our daily program, we include Creative Curriculums for Early Childhood Programs by Diane Trister-Dodge.
The Creative Curriculum® for Infants & Toddlers – Provides a comprehensive framework. It emphasizes that relationships between caregivers/teachers and children and their families form the basis of curriculum for very young children.
The Creative Curriculum® for Early Childhood – Describes and demonstrates the planning of a developmentally appropriate program focusing on 10 well-organized interest areas. Its underlying philosophy draws from Jean Piaget’s work on cognitive development, Erik Erikson’s stages of socio-emotional development, and accepted theories of how children learn best. The approach is practical, easy-to-understand, and immediately applicable to a variety of settings.
The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool – Addresses all areas of development: Social/Emotional, Physical, Cognitive, and Language. It also guides you on how to address content in each of these areas:
1. Physical:
B: To provide activities and programs which will stimulate the physical development and competence of each child.
2. Emotional:
B: To encourage development of independence, self-confidence, self-reliance, and self-esteem in order to reinforce a positive self-concept in each child.
3. Social:
B: To encourage child-adult interaction in a warm, active, and family-type of atmosphere.
4. Intellectual:
B: To prepare an environment which will stimulate creative and spontaneous response.
